Sermorelin

Sermorelin is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the first 29 amino acids of endogenous growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It was previously FDA-approved (marketed as Geref) for pediatric diagnostic use.

Mechanism

• GHRH receptor agonism. Binds the GHRH receptor on somatotroph cells in the anterior pituitary, stimulating GH release in a physiologic pattern.

• Common research doses. Approximately 200-300 mcg per injection, subcutaneous, typically dosed at bedtime to align with the natural nocturnal GH pulse.
