KPV
KPV is a tripeptide (lysine-proline-valine) that corresponds to the C-terminal fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It has been studied for anti-inflammatory activity, particularly in gastrointestinal and dermatological research models.
Mechanism
- α-MSH fragment. Derived from the last three amino acids of α-MSH; retains anti-inflammatory activity without the full peptide's effects on pigmentation.
- Cytokine modulation. Studied for reduction of pro-inflammatory cytokine signaling.
